Rated 5 out of 5 by Body Shape Determines Size If you carry extra weight around your middle and hips you need to go up one size. It seems the bad reviews are due to purchasing the wrong size and not the product. Also this item offers maximum support, therefore it needs to feel slightly small, especially if you are packing some extra weight around your middle. I have back pain issues and primarily buy this garment for back support and slimming my body is a nice perk. I had initially purchased a 3x based on my dress size. It was very snug. I lost 15 lbs around my middle and the garment fit perfectly. I lost another 15 lbs and went down two dress sizes. By that time my spanx was too big so I bought more spanx at 2x. The 2x fit great. Then I went on a cruise and gained weight (10lbs) around my middle and the current 2x is a bit too small, though not too uncomfortable. Since I gave away my 3x sized spanx, I currently purchased two items at 3x and two more at 2x for when I lose those 10 lbs. Even though I am still at the smaller dress size as I was before I went on the cruise, gaining those 10 lbs around my middle affected my spanx size and the need to go up a size to 3x. I have been wearing this style of spanx and the wider strap camisol for 5 years and they have helped me so much with reducing back pain and looking good. After daily wear and washing, I need to replace my 8 spanx items every 30 months. In my book this makes for an outstanding product. This review also applies to the wider strap camisol. May 24, 2013

I can even wear it to Yoga. So hard to find shapers in 'Super firm" that do not compress on the top. I have ordered two so far. May 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great compression undergarment This product fulfilled my expectations. Yes, it runs small, but I am glad it does, because I wanted the snug compression fit. I really like how it feels like I am being hugged all day. The bottom hem stays down if tucked into pants. I purchased the size small and had to wrestle it on the first time, but it gave a tiny bit, and now slipping it on is easier. I am 5'5" and weigh 110 pounds. The quality is excellent, and it survives gentle laundering. I am very happy with it and will buy more. Thanks Spanx for making a great undergarment staple. May 4, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Strange sizing issue I always wear a size small for the "booty correcting " products but am flummoxed by the impossibly tiny upper torso items. I am a 32 AA and could not get this beautifully made cami over my ears. I can't imagine anyone bigger than a hamster fitting into this. I have tried other "toppers" from Spanx and find them all crazily small. I'll stick with the nether bits as there is nothing better. Let me know when the sizing makes sense and I'll be first in line! Rated 4 out of 5 by I like the top, but I think it could be a little loser in the body. I am a small woman and bought a size small. It seems a bit snug and I think a medium would be too large. I weigh 115, H 5'3', B 34D. I have a suggestion separate from this. Have you considered the footless pantie hose or bottom in a low rise? So many of my pants are low rise. I am a professional and buy my slacks from Banana Republic and Express. I buy a non-control top pantie hose, cut the feet off, and push the waste down below my waistband on my slacks. Would love a low rise! Pantie hose doesn't even make them. I am trying to hide cellulite in my butt and legs. I usually tuck my tops into the hose, so don't want the high rise. Thanks!!
